I'm an admin/programmer at phpwebhosting.com (and L4 tech support - all phpwebhosting staff work support each day to keep in touch with the real world of our clients). If you have any questions about hosting, php, linux, etc. I'd be happy to help you. If you are not yet a client, send me a message (on twitter, IM, etc. see below) and I'll hook you up with a free month to test things out too.
Here's some ways to reach me:
I'm on twitter as "phpjack" - here
Instant Messagers:
Personal IM
You can also try the "general" phpwebhosting.com IM accounts:
One important note: If you are a client and need support, please be sure to enter a ticket in your control panel. I'm happy to help over twitter and IM but it's important that you also enter a "real" support request so that we can be 100% you are getting the help you deserve.
When you enter a support ticket, we can better monitor the status, history, and progress of the issue. Thanks!
Use the IM general contacts for times when you just need to talk to us in general. The staff member answering will vary because most IM clients do not allow multiple users to be logged into the same account at once. As shifts change, lunch breaks, etc. different staff members will login to cover IM support.
If you need to talk to me specifically, use my personal IM contacts (phpjack, etc) - I have a rather pathetic social life and am usually online in one form or another all day and all night. I'll do my best to help you whenever I can.
Again, if at all possible, please enter a "real" support ticket in our system for your request in addition to any chats over IM. When you enter a ticket in the support system it can be tracked and accounted for. When chatting over IM there is much more danger of longer requests not being fully completed because there is no reminder of it in our system. When you enter a support ticket there is a permanent record made and an entry in our support queue. The support queue is the list of all open problems that support techs work from.
